Usally when you are rich you usally marry somone with the same rating as her. So she will marry somone that is rich. Miguel will marry somone that works in the field too. So it would not make sense for her to marry Miguel.

On one side of the river, Miguel is standing and on the other, Esperanza is standing. I agree with DM #10 because they never had a say in who they wanted to marry, their parents set them up with someone in the same money standard as they are. So for example, a rich person (like Esperanza) wouldn’t marry a poor person (like Miguel.)
